Hudson Valley Mushrooms Fall 2020 CSA
Our log-grown shiitake CSA will be available for five weeks in September 2020

Full shares - $80 for 5 weeks - Includes 1 pound of shiitakes per week
Half shares - $40 for 5 weeks - Includes 1/2 pound of shiitakes per week

Pick up location will be from our location in Brewster, New York on Wednesday evenings (5-7pm)
First pick up will be September 2 and the CSA will run until September 30

     2020 Hudson Valley Mushrooms CSA Membership Agreement
    By purchasing a CSA share, I agree to accept the risks and rewards inherent to farming. I understand that Hudson Valley Mushrooms will work in good faith to produce the best possible log-grown shiitake mushrooms using sustainable growing methods, but I also understand that crops may be damaged by natural forces beyond the farmer’s control, and that my share may be affected by such damage.

    I understand that my share will be divided into 5 weekly portions, available weekly beginning September 2 and ending September 30, 2020. I understand that the price I pay for my share is an investment in the farm’s operating budget, and that it cannot be refunded after September 1, 2020.

    I agree to observe our pick up rules, which are as follows:
    1. Pick up your share within the time frame stated. Although we deliver high-quality produce to the site, it will decline quickly if not picked up on time.
    2. Be respectful of our property: proceed slowly into the driveway, don’t drive on grassy areas, etc.
    3. Follow additional rules posted at your drop site.
    4. If you cannot pick up your share, you must arrange for someone else to pick it up for you. You are responsible for explaining the pick-up procedure to your substitute. If you can’t find someone, to ensure efficiency for our pick and pack days, please let us know 48 hours prior that you won’t be picking up your share and we will not pack it. If unforeseen circumstances arise, please contact HVM as soon as possible as we try to accommodate emergencies. Shares that are not retrieved within the designated pick-up time will be forfeited for that week.
    • You will be receiving the freshest produce available short of growing it yourself. Please take the time to properly store all produce each week once received.
    • We take the safety of your food seriously and will abide by the following safety protocols.
      • All of our mushrooms are grown outside in fresh air.
      • Anyone reporting or displaying signs of illness are forbidden from entering mushroom fruiting areas.
      • We use latex gloves during all physical contact with mushrooms (primordia to harvest).
      • We wear masks when working with actively fruiting mushroom logs (primordia to harvest).
      • While fruiting, mushroom logs are covered with heavyweight Agribon material.
      • All tools and containers which come into contact with harvested mushrooms are washed and sanitized immediately prior to use.
